Q. Are the tickets for the Santa Experience at the GPO Witness History Museum refundable?
- Access to Santa’s Secret Postal Service Village in the GPO Courtyard.
- Each family will meet Santa individually. Adults must accompany children and hold a valid Santa Experience ticket.
- Each child will get a special gift and everyone will get a hot chocolate beverage with mince pies. Children can also enjoy Christmas themed arts and crafts on arrival while they wait to access the experience.
- Self-guided visit to the GPO Witness History Museum including complimentary audio guide and discovery trail for children.
The Santa Experience tickets are non-refundable and date/time changes are subject to availability.
Q. Does Santa have a real beard?
Santa at GPO Witness History is back by popular demand and he will sport a realistic theatrical prop as a beard.
Q. Can you arrive to the GPO Witness History Museum before your timeslot?
Guests are welcome to visit the award winning GPO Witness History Museum if you arrive earlier than your allotted time or if you decide to stay after your Santa Experience. Please note that you will receive a specific time slot to visit Santa’s Grotto as per your booked ticket.
Santa is so busy this time of the year but all his helpers will endeavor to make sure that families are not waiting too long and will be entertaining everyone with fabulous arts and crafts!
Q. What happens if I miss my time slot?
We recommend that you arrive at GPO Witness History Museum at least 10 minutes before your time slot to register at our admissions desk.
Unfortunately if you are late we will be unable to hold the time slot and you may miss your visit. Please note if this happens tickets are non-refundable.
Q. Is the experience wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the Santa Experience at GPO Witness History Museum and Santa Experience is fully wheelchair accessible. Note the entire Visitor Centre is fully accessible.
Q. Do I need a ticket for a baby?
Yes, you do. The Santa Experience is suitable for prams and Santa will have a gift ready for your baby.
Adults must accompany children and hold a valid Santa Experience ticket.
Q. How long will the Santa Experience take?
The journey through Santa’s Secret Postal Service Village and meeting Santa in the grotto will take approximately 20 minutes. We will be happy to entertain the littles ones at our arts and crafts station while you wait for your allotted time. We recommend 45 minutes to 1 hour to visit the GPO Witness History Museum, which is available to all families before or after the Santa Experience.
Q. Will we get one to one time with Santa during the experience?
Each family will get to enjoy time in Santa’s grotto by themselves during the experience. Santa’s grotto is very cozy therefore large family groups may have to take turns visiting Santa. Mrs. Claus will do her best to make sure everyone can see Santa together!
Q. Can I take photos while visiting Santa’s grotto?
Guests are more than welcome to take pictures or record their experience. There will also be an opportunity to take a photo keepsake at our special photo booth at an additional cost.
Q. Is Santa available on Christmas Eve?
Santa is rather busy on the 24th December as he is back in the North Pole getting ready for Christmas morning so unfortunately he will not be at the GPO Witness History Museum.
Q. Can I book the Santa Experience on the day?
Bookings are made in advance only through the GPO Witness History Museum website. So book your tickets early as we do not want to disappoint anyone!
Tickets purchased on the day for the GPO Witness History Museum will not include entry to the Santa Experience.
